Ralph Alger Bagnold Medal

This medal has been established by the Geomorphology Division of the European Geosciences Union in commemoration of the scientific achievements of Ralph Alger Bagnold. It is reserved for individuals in recognition of their outstanding scientific contribution to the study of geomorphology, by means of:

1. a substantive recent contribution to a particular research area
2. the originality and innovative nature of the research
3. timeliness and significance of the research
