Jean-François Breilh is a PhD student at the UMR CNRS 7266 Littoral ENvironnement et Sociétés (LIENSs) Laboratory of University of la Rochelle, France. He is supervised during his thesis by Xavier Bertin and Éric Chaumillon. His research work aims on carrying out measurements and modelling of storm surge and associated coastal flooding, in particular the Xynthia storm case. The EGU 2012 poster presents results of the first part of his research, illustrating an improved static inundation method to forecast the impacted area.
