Means of Contact
General Information
As a dynamic and bottom-up association, the EGU welcomes your message, suggestion, proposal or complaint sent either to an individual Union Officer or Board or Committee Member (direct mailing) or to the Executive Board of the Union or to a specific Committee or Board in general (forum). Please, select your group of contact first and find the list of officers of the corresponding group together with their email numbers for your direct mailing or, at the end of the list, the link to the corresponding forum for an en bloc mailing to all members, respectively (Post into Forum). If you choose the latter option, a log-in is required to bring you to "Post a New Topic", where you may copy your message into the corresponding template. All attachments must be pdf files.
Posting into a forum has the advantage that all corresponding members will be informed simultaneously and that they may use the forum for an immediate discussion, followed by a decision or quorum and an archiving of the results.
Information for Forum Members
If you are a member of a discussion forum you have two options to reach your forum:
- select your group of contact and find at the end of the listing two buttons: (1) "View Forum Members" to study the membership of your forum, and (2) "Discussion" to find the list of topics currently under discussion; choose a topic to find the associated discussion thread. Here you may either take part in the discussion by choosing "Post Reply" or start a new discussion on another topic by choosing "New Topic". All attachments must be pdf files.
- open your personal home site on COSIS.net and choose "Forums" to find the list of your "Forum Association(s)". Below the title of a forum you find the links "Forum" for the list of topics currently under discussion, or "Archive" for the list of decisions archived by the forum chair for the eyes of the forum members only, or "Public Board" for the list of decisions and/or announcements included by the forum chair for the eyes of the public. You may choose "Post Reply" to contribute to an ongoing discussion or "New Topic" to start a discussion on a new topic.
