Terrestrial Planets
CALL FOR PAPERS TO BE PUBLISHED IN A SPECIAL PSS ISSUE FROM 2011 PLANETARY SESSIONS ON TERRESTRIAL PLANETS
Dear colleagues,
Following up the success of previous PSS special issues on the planetary science meetings (i.e, 7 years of Atmospheres, Magnetospheres and Surfaces of the outer planets, their satellites and ring systems, and 1 year of Terrestrial Planets ) we plan to have a new special PSS issue on Terrestrial planets.
If you have recently given (or plan to give) a presentation concerning terrestrial planets and their systems at the 2011 Planetary sessions for EGU, COSPAR, EPSC, IAMAS, AGU and/or AOGS International Meetings, you may be interested to know that we are planning to put together this new special issue of Planetary and Space Science on the themes addressed in sessions with focus on: "Terrestrial Planets, Part II".
All papers presented in these meetings (solicited, contributed, oral and posters) concerning results on the terrestrial planets and their satellites, as well as laboratory or modeling work for the analysis of such data, are welcome to an article in this issue of PSS.
AS A FIRST STEP WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE AN INDICATION OF INTEREST FROM THE AUTHORS SO AS TO KNOW HOW MANY PAPERS MIGHT BE EXPECTED. WE ALREADY HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL INDICATIONS. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEND IT YET , PLEASE SEND US SUCH AN INDICATION BY OCTOBER 3, 2011.
The usual refereeing process is applied for publication in PSS. For this, we would like to ask you to please give us 3-4 names of potential reviewers when you submit your manuscript. The deadline for submission of the manuscripts for this issue is DECEMBER 9, 2011).
Authors are invited to submit their paper in the appropriate PSS electronic format through the Elsevier Editorial System as follows (WAIT UNTIL IT’S OPEN FOR II, !!!)
We would like to inform you furthermore that the authors in this issue will receive free access to the papers in this volume through Science Direct for a couple of months around the publication date.
