Pelechuco Lake, a glacier lake in the Bolivian Andes (video)
Simon Cook, a researcher at the Manchester Metropolitan University, films one of the glacier lakes he and his team monitored to identify those at risk of bursting and washing away villages or infrastructure. The research is published in the European Geosciences Union (EGU) journal The Cryosphere.
