Fire is a worldwide phenomenon. Since the second half of the XXth century, land use and socio-economic changes have contributed to increase the number of wildfires and the affected area, resulting in economic, social and environmental impacts. However, fire is also a millenary tool used for thousand years by men to landscape management.
The aim of this meeting is to bring together worldwide fire and soil researchers to discuss advances of scientific knowledge in this area.
