Since 2009 the PATA Workshops have become the premier international exchange of new paleoseismic and archeoseismic methods and results. Field trips will be an integral part of the workshop – providing opportunity for getting hands-on with a major plate boundary fault and the latest research that has been undertaken on this fault, discussions with colleagues and, of course, appreciation of the dynamic landscape that the Alpine Fault has produced. The workshop will start and finish in Christchurch
