New policy section on the EGU website

19 October 2015

In September this year, EGU appointed a science policy fellow to establish a range of science-for-policy activities for EGU members to engage with. This week sees the launch of a new policy section on the EGU website. This section includes an introduction to European policy-making landscape, highlights pathways available for scientists to get involved with supporting the policy-making process, and provides information and reading resources to learn more about policy organisation. It also has a dedicated page aimed at policy makers, which will inform about policy-relevant EGU science.

The policy section also launches the EGU Database of Expertise: a catalogue of EGU scientific knowledge that allows for easy contact to members who wish to share their science at future events. Please register if you have an interest in policy and want to participate more in the science policy process.

If you have any comments or suggestions about the EGU policy pages, please contact EGU Science Policy Fellow Sarah Connors at policy@egu.eu.
