ISSUE 17, MAY 2016 EGU NEWSLETTER Monthly information service for members of the European Geosciences Union Read this email in HTML format at https://www.egu.eu/newsletter/egu/17/email/ ============================================================ HIGHLIGHTS Every year, the EGU honours individuals for their important contributions to the Earth, planetary and space sciences through its awards and medals programme. In the next couple of weeks, EGU members are kindly asked to submit their nominations for all EGU 2017 medals and awards (https://egu.eu/3X2PF7 , deadline 15 June). To increase diversity in the group of EGU awardees and medallists, we encourage the EGU membership to consider gender, geographical and cultural balance when nominating outstanding Earth, planetary and space scientists at various career stages. This month we are also asking our members to provide feedback (https://egu2016.eu/feedback.html , deadline 11 June) on the EGU 2016 General Assembly to make sure the 2017 meeting (23–28 April) is even better. By following some of the links below, you can read recently published posts on the EGU blogs (https://blogs.egu.eu/) about the EGU 2016 conference and the research presented there, as well as watch short videos filmed at the EGU 2016 meeting (https://egu.eu/7QVCBT). ------------------------------------------------------------ IN THIS ISSUE EGU News General Assembly Journal Watch EGU Blogs ------------------------------------------------------------ EGU NEWS * Do you know exceptional Earth, planetary or space scientists?
