The Tectonics and Structural Geology (TS) Division medals are awarded to scientists in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Tectonics and structural Geology. This medal was established by the TS Division in recognition of the scientific achievements of Stephan Mueller. It is awarded to scientists in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the discovery of the structure of the lithosphere and interdisciplinary approaches to the understanding of plate tectonics.
