The Singapore University of Technology and Design is Singapore’s fourth autonomous university, established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. SUTD’s mission is to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs. Hydrological Sciences (HS)
The Singapore University of Technology and Design, in collaboration with Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (the national water agency), offers one PhD position in areas broadly related to watershed management, flood management, water distribution, and sensors and instrumentation.
Applicants must hold a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in engineering, science, or applied mathematics, with a good academic background in hydrology/hydraulics, statistics/probability, and optimization.
The start time is either mid-September 2019 or January 2020. The scholarship includes full tuition fees, a competitive compensation, and additional funding support for international conferences and overseas research attachments.
