Highlights and Upcoming Deadlines

The 2026 EGU General Assembly will be held 3-8 May in Vienna. Early-bird registration is available until 1 April 2026, 13:00 CEST. Stay updated by regularly checking the EGU website! 

Registration is open for the 10th International Symposium on Water Resources Management -IWRM / 11th EGU Leonardo Symposium which will address the growing need for resilient and inclusive water resource management in the face of accelerating global change. Held in Canberra, Australia from 9 - 13 September 2026. 

This interactive session is designed to help you connect with others at the EGU26 General Assembly in ways that feel genuine, confident and human - not forced, awkward or transactional. The workshop will take place on Monday 13 April, online, from 10:00 CEST - 11:30 CEST. Registration required! 

Registration and abstract submission is open for the British Hydrological Society 16th National Hydrology Symposium. The theme is 'Reimagining Hydrology for a Changing World', running from 2-4 September, 2026 in Leeds. Abstract submission closes on the 3rd of April. 

Want to meet other early career hydrologists and make connections going into EGU26? Join us at HydroMeet, the official hydrological networking event organized by the Young Hydrologic Society (YHS) as well as the early career scientist representatives of the EGU HS Division and the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS). Monday 4 May at 12:30 pm, Terrace G.
