Upcoming Events and Deadlines

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN!

Now that the EGU26 Call for Abstracts is open, don’t miss out on all the opportunities to participate in this hybrid meeting! Deadline for abstract submissions is 15 January 2026, start prepping for your EGU General Assembly in 2026, to be held 3–8 May, in Vienna and online.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND WAIVERS

There are three participation support schemes already in place by the EGU Council to facilitate the widest possible participation in EGU26.

  1. Roland Schlich Travel Support for on-site participants, submit abstracts by by 1 December 2025, 13:00 CET.
  2. Early Career Scientist's Travel Support (ECSTS), only ECS are eligible and qualifying nominees need to check all boxes defining an EGU ECS by 1 January 2026.
  3. EGU EDI Participation Support, deadline for application is 20 February 2026, 23:59 CET

EMERGENCY SUPPORT POLICY

If you are a researcher in the field of Earth, planetary and space science affected by an emergency situation, EGU offers a variety of support options to help you gain access to EGU’s range of tools, resources and opportunities. Key amongst these is the EGU Emergency Support Policy. Currently, regions, countries or communities added to the EGU extended support include; Palestine (Council resolution from 10 October 2025).

IAHS ONLINE CLIMATE RISK ANALYSIS COURSE

This Online Course in Climate Time Series Analysis is tailored for postdocs and advanced PhD students working at the interface of climate science and time series analysis. No prior formal training in statistics is required; familiarity with basic mathematics is assumed. The course also appeals to established researchers wishing to update their knowledge or acquire new statistical techniques. Participants typically come from climatology, ecology, econometrics, environmental sciences, geosciences, hydrology, meteorology, chemistry or physics, as well as related sustainability fields. Deadline 1 December 2025.
