Getting Ready for EGU 2026

Start preparing for your EGU General Assembly in 2026, to be held 3–8 May, in Vienna and online. Deadline for abstract submissions is 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET: https://www.egu26.eu/

Our NH programme is organised into the following sub-division programme groups.  Next to these are the NH relevant Inter- and Transdisciplinary Sessions (NH13), Short courses (NH15) and sessions from other divisions that are relevant for the NH community ( NH14).

    NH3 – Landslide and Snow Avalanche Hazards

Results of EGU 2025 Elections

The results of the recent EGU elections are now available, announcing the next Union President, General Secretary, Union representative of the Early Career Scientists, and Division Presidents. These elections play a key role in shaping the future direction of EGU and its scientific divisions, and we thank all members who took part in the voting process.

We warmly congratulate all successful candidates and look forward to working with them in the coming years. A particularly warm welcome goes to Nivedita Sairam, who has been elected President of the Natural Hazards Division for the 2027–2029 term. We wish her every success in this role and look forward to the ideas, leadership, and initiatives she will bring to the NH community.
