DESCRIPTION:<p>Tools using artificial intelligence (AI) have increasingly 
 been applied in scientific publishing. AI tools can benefit authors by imp
 roving the language of scientific material including peer-reviewed publica
 tions. Despite assisting with the production of scientific material\, the 
 meteoric rise in AI tools have prompted concerns on whether their use is a
 ppropriate and ethical. This webinar will introduce how AI tools are curre
 ntly applied in scientific publishing\, highlight the key questions shadow
 ing their use\, and explore what this means for EGU journals and beyond.</
 p><p>The webinar will last one hour\, with 30 minutes for presentation fol
 lowed by an audience Q&amp\;A.</p>
