Highlights and Upcoming Deadlines

The 2026 EGU Tertiary Education Geoscience Teaching Materials Award recognises innovative teaching resources that enhance geoscience education at the university level. Consider applying and sharing your work with the wider geoscience community. Deadline by the end of the day, 27 July 2026

The NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research has partnered with Copernicus Publications to support open-access publishing. The initiative covers article processing charges for eligible authors, making geoscience research more accessible while supporting wider dissemination and scientific collaboration.

Abstract submissions are now open for the AGU26 Annual Meeting, taking place from 7–11 December 2026 in San Francisco, USA. Whether presenting new research or organising a session, be sure to submit your abstract before the 5 August 2026 deadline.

Registration is open for the EGU Leonardo Conference on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM 2026), bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss sustainable water management. The meeting offers an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen collaborations across disciplines.
