Upcoming Events and Deadlines

With the opening of the EGU26 Call for Abstracts coming soon, don’t miss out on all the opportunities you have to participate in this hybrid meeting! Read our October Update in detail to get a head start on preparing for your EGU General Assembly in 2026, to be held 3–8 May, in Vienna and online.

EGU’s popular Artist in Residence programme, which provides artists and scientists with opportunities to exchange ideas during the annual meeting, is back again for our General Assembly in 2026. We now welcome applications from science-artists for two residencies at EGU26, taking place in Vienna, Austria from 3 - 8 May 2026. The deadline for applications is 27 October 2025.

Voting for candidates opens from 3-25 November 2025. 

The ICSH-STAHY/ ICGW 2026 workshop, the 15th edition of the STAHY workshop, will take place in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, in 13 - 17 July 2026. 

The application deadline for the IAHS Academy 12-18 January 2026 in Ningbo, China, has been extended to Friday, 31 October 2025.  The IAHS Academy features five short courses in parallel, fostering a critical mass of lecturers and students in the same week and venue. This coming January 2026, in Ningbo, you will have the chance to select among five topics providing advanced scientific, applied research training and hands-on.
