HIGHLIGHTS

Do you need support from the EGU to organise a meeting in the Earth, planetary or space sciences? Up until 31 July 2016, we welcome proposals for topical meetings, training schools and workshops, as well as applications for EGU sponsorship of external meetings, for the year 2017. Find out more about this funding opportunity and how to apply on our website.

In other news, EGU journals, published by Copernicus Publications, now display the most recent Thomson Reuters Impact Factors (IFs). Earth Surface Dynamics (ESurf) and Geoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems (GI) have now received their first impact factors: IF 2.000 and IF 1.071, respectively.

On the policy front, the EGU has been developing its engagement with science-for-policy activities, which includes an updated policy section on the EGU website. A highlight from this section is an overview of major EGU research areas that are directly related to policy issues.
