HIGHLIGHTS

Happy New Year! We would like to start the year by thanking all EGU members who participated in the Autumn 2015 elections, as well as the candidates. Jonathan Bamber (Professor of Glaciology at the University of Bristol) was elected EGU President/Vice-President for the term 2016–2020, while Håkan Svedhem (Project Scientist for the ExoMars 2016 mission, European Space Agency) was elected as the EGU General Secretary for the term 2016–2018. Both of them will be inaugurated during the EGU plenary meeting at the EGU 2016 General Assembly. For the opportunity to present and discuss your work at Europe’s largest geoscience conference, make sure to submit your abstract by 13 January 2016, 13:00 CET. Please note that a fee will be levied for late-abstract submissions this year.
