Job description

Dear all,

we are hiring 12 doctoral candidates in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network “TALENTS: The doctoral rift science network for the energy transition”. Please forward to those that might be interested.

  • Deadline for the first group of applications: 15th of March 2024 **

Motivation
Continental rifts are forefront areas for geothermal energy, carbon capture, and new resources such as native hydrogen. The objectives of TALENTS are to (1) increase our understanding of rift initiation, continental break-up and how rifts link to societal benefits and geohazards, (2) train 12 doctoral researchers in scientific, networking, communication and entrepreneurial skills related to the energy transition, and (3) build a collaborative network ensuring results and knowledge are shared with academia, industry, and society.

Salary and Eligibility
MSCA networks provide attractive doctoral positions with regard to salary terms and benefits including (1) a living allowance of around €3,400 (country correction coefficient applies), (2) a mobility allowance of €600 and, (3) a family allowance (€660), if applicable. Note these are gross values and employer costs or other deductions depend on the recruiting host. At the same time MSCA networks require that applicants must not have studied/worked in the host country for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the position’s start date. For more details see: https://www.talents-dn.eu/projects/eligibility-criteria .

All the best,

Sascha Brune
