Description

A two-year research Master’s programme, Meteorology, Physical Oceanography and Climate (MPOC) aims to train talented and motivated students to become researchers with a solid grounding in the field of meteorology, physical oceanography and climate. It focuses on the fundamental physical processes that make up the Earth’s climate system. This approach requires an advanced level of mathematics as a basis, which is developed further in the Master’s courses. In general, undergraduates admitted to the programme have good mathematical skills, a thorough understanding of classical mechanics and thermodynamics, and a basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and numerical methods.
