Description

The carbon cycle is one of Earth’s most important natural processes, but it is increasingly disrupted by human activities. Show students how scientists are investigating the role of earthquakes in sequestering carbon. Included is a summary of a current research project and an interview with Professor Robert Hilton. The activity sheet includes ‘talking points’ to enable students to reflect on the research and a diagram activity based on the global carbon cycle.
