Description

Where does desert fog come from? How do species find water in dryland environments? And what will happen to these ecosystems as the climate changes?

This resource introduces the work of Professor Lixin Wang, a hydrologist at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He is investigating the formation of fog and dew in dryland environments.

It includes an interview with Lixin and offers an insight into careers in hydrology. It also includes an activity sheet, which contains ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Lixin’s work and challenges them to create their own dew collector.
