A freely available educational comic book designed for primary school pupils introduces the origin of seismic waves during earthquakes and explains how geophysicists use them to study the internal structure of the Earth.

The comic "When the Earth Quakes - The Story of a Seismic Wave" combines storytelling, illustrations, and simplified scientific explanations to make geophysics accessible and engaging for younger audiences. The comic was developed as part of the outreach activities of the Institute of Geophysics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
