Job description

The Center for Hydrogeology and Geothermics of the University of Neuchâtel (CHYN) is advertising a position of
Senior Lecturer/Research Scientist in hydrogeology or geothermics.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in earth sciences, environmental sciences or applied physics (obtained no more than 10 years ago).
  • Develop research using field investigation technics and analyses in hydrogeology and geothermics such as geophysical methods, well testing or borehole measurements.
  • Solid teaching experience.

Teaching and Research Activities:

  • Teaching geosciences in our bachelor's degree programs and advanced courses in our master's degree program in hydrogeology and geothermal energy.
  • (Co)Supervising Bachelor, Master and PhD students.
  • Develop research activities in collaboration with CHYN and Faculty of Science research groups in one or more of the following areas: field investigation methods in hydrogeology and geothermics, or related topics.
  • Actively participate in the life of the institute, the management of research infrastructure, and the development of teaching and research projects.
