The DELTA-Hub project (Horizon Europe, ERA Chair Prof. Edward Anthony) at the University of Bucharest invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position on global delta dynamics from satellite observations (SWOT, NISAR, ICESat-2, Sentinel-2/3/6, Landsat). The researcher will be guided shape their own research line, from new data products to global comparative analyses of delta hydrodynamics and morphodynamics , with direct collaboration with NASA JPL and the SWOT science team (research stay possible), an international advisory network (TU Delft, Deltares, Tyndall Centre, Wageningen), optional fieldwork in the Danube Delta, and a gross salary of ≈4,000 EUR/month. We seek a PhD in Earth sciences, remote sensing, hydrology, geodesy, physical geography, oceanography or data science, with strong Python skills and experience with large geospatial datasets. Flexible start; applications reviewed on a rolling basis until filled.
