The Earthquake Research Institute (ERI), as a Joint Usage / Research Center for Earthquake and Volcano Science, promotes research aimed at scientifically elucidating earthquake and volcanic phenomena and contributing to disaster mitigation, in collaboration with domestic and international researchers.
