Job description
This position requires German and English language skills. The full job ad available in German. Summary of tasks in English:
- Fundamental plasma processes (waves, turbulence, shock waves, magnetic reconnection)
- Modeling (the Sun and solar wind, magnetospheres, small bodies)
- Plasma astrophysics (stars and galaxies, gravitational waves, compact objects)
- Numerical experiments using high-performance computers (Sun, planets, and comets)
- Development and maintenance of numerical codes
- Participation in international space programs at ESA/JAXA/NASA (Solar Orbiter, BepiColombo, Comet Interceptor, JUICE, Plasma Observatory, HelioSwarm)
- Assistance with the scientific journal Earth, Planets and Space.
- Teaching (various tasks, in German)
