We seek individuals who will lead an innovative research program while complementing our existing strengths, and who are committed to teaching and mentorship of students and postdoctoral fellows. Extraordinarily well-qualified candidates may also be considered at the tenured professor level.
Interested applicants should submit an electronic application that includes: (1) a brief cover letter, (2) a curriculum vitae (including publications), (3) three letters of recommendation, (4) a statement of current and proposed research (two pages), and (5) an education statement that addresses the applicant’s thoughts on classroom and laboratory instruction, mentorship of students and postdoctoral scholars, and ways to foster an inclusive environment for the development of scholars who come to Caltech with many different perspectives and experiences (up to two pages). Salaries for professorial faculty at Caltech fall in the range $125,000 to $400,000.
