Faculty position in low temperature geochemistry

Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in low-temperature geochemistry.
Successful applicants could focus on a wide variety of topics, with examples including but not limited to water and carbon cycle dynamics, paleoclimate, and fluid-rock interaction. We seek individuals with research programs who can bridge existing research foci in hazards, energy, resources, and climate within the department and establish cross-disciplinary collaborations. We welcome applicants who may support existing analytical infrastructure in the Cornell Mass Spectrometry (CMaS) facility and/or develop new analytical and/or computational facilities. The successful applicant will develop an active and outstanding externally funded research program, advise student and postdoc research, and teach classes for undergraduate and graduate students.
The anticipated starting date is August, 2027 or as negotiated.
