- Conduct high-quality, internationally visible, and externally funded research leading to WoS-indexed publications.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in hydrogeology, groundwater engineering, and related areas.
- Supervise graduate students (specially at the doctoral level).
- Engage in interdisciplinary research projects, knowledge transfer, outreach, and administrative duties.
Relevant Research Areas:
- Quantitative hydrogeology and process-based modeling (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, MIKE SHE, or equivalent).
- Groundwater recharge, storage, and groundwater-surface water interactions.
- Field hydrogeology, aquifer characterization, hydraulic testing, hydrogeochemistry, and hydrogeophysics.
- Integrated, hybrid, and data-driven groundwater modeling approaches under changing climatic and environmental conditions.
- Groundwater quality, contaminant transport, managed aquifer recharge (MAR), and drought resilience.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong publication record and commitment to research, teaching, and public service.
- Fluency in English is required. Spanish fluency is not required at the time of application, but candidates must be prepared to teach in Spanish within two years of hiring.
