Thinking about joining EGU's Mentoring Scheme for EGU26, but want to consolidate your skills first? Why not register to join the EGU Outreach Committee’s Mentoring Workshop, to be held on 16 October!

Mentoring is one of the most powerful ways to grow as a scientist - whether you’re sharing your experience with others or learning from those further along the path. This free, interactive, 60-minute workshop will explore what mentoring is (and isn’t), why it’s valuable, and how both mentors and mentees benefit from the process. During the session, the workshop leaders will take you through common mentoring models, clarify roles and expectations, and discuss practical ways to get started.

Whether you’re curious about finding a mentor, considering becoming one yourself, or simply want to strengthen professional relationships within your field, this workshop will give you tools and inspiration to take the next step. The workshop will be held online on Thursday 16 October, at 10:00 CEST.

Places are limited, so make sure you register here by Monday 14 October. We especially encourage those who are considering participating in the EGU Mentoring Scheme at EGU26 as a mentor to register, as this workshop will be very beneficial to this activity.
