Compilations and proceedings
Alongside our 20 publicly peer-reviewed and open access journals, EGU supports a number of scientific compilations and proceedings. EGU Letters is a compilation of brief highlight articles, published in selected EGU journals. The Encyclopedia of Geosciences is an interdisciplinary compilation of review papers published in the EGU journals, and by relevant journals also supported by our publisher, Copernicus. Advances in Geosciences (ADGEO) publishes the proceedings of scientific meetings. Past publications of the Union that are no longer active or updated are available in the Archives.
Encyclopedia of Geosciences (EG)
The Encyclopedia of Geosciences is a collection of peer-reviewed scientific review articles on topics relevant to the geosciences, published in the open-access journals of the European Geosciences Union (EGU), written by the experts of the field. It shall fill the gap between traditional review articles on the one hand and online encyclopediae on the other. The subject area of the Encyclopedia of Geosciences is the entire field of geosciences including research on the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, solid earth, and biosphere (for details, see the list of topics). The articles shall address readers with academic but not necessarily specialist background in science.
Advances in Geosciences (ADGEO)
Advances in Geosciences (ADGEO) is an international, interdisciplinary journal for fast publication of collections of short but self-contained communications in the Earth, planetary, and solar system sciences, published in separate volumes online with the option of printed publications (print on demand). The collections may include papers presented at scientific meetings (proceedings) or articles on a well-defined topic compiled by individual editors or organizations (special publications).
