She has presented her results, and has given outstanding talks, at a number of international workshops and conferences and she has been the recipient of prestigious prizes and fellowships: the Beate-Mocek Preis 2016 of the Deutsche Mineralogische Gesellschaft, a Feodor Lynen post-doctoral fellowship, from the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation, the Victor-Moritz- Goldschmidt-Preis 2022 of the Deutsche Mineralogische Gesellschaft, and a National Environmental Research Council fellowship in the UK.

Like much her of her creative output, it is a book of solutions and a rousing call to arms, setting out how we can plan for and manage the now unavoidable climate migration while we restore the planet to a fully habitable state.

Teachers and educators from Europe and around the world can apply to participate in GIFT from 7 November 2022 until 18 December 2022 by filling in an online application form. Successful teachers receive a partial travel and accommodation stipend to attend the workshop and will be notified of the results of their application at the end of December.

For the first time in the analysis covering 2022–2024, fire-induced degradation has overtaken deforestation as the primary driver of carbon emissions in the Amazon. This research draws on a sophisticated satellite-based methodology that overcomes many of the limitations of previous global fire datasets.
