Alexander Platter is a PhD student at the Institute of Ecology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. His research focuses on understanding ecosystem CO 2 exchange from an atmospheric science perspective. He aims to refine CO 2 estimates derived from eddy covariance measurements, particularly by addressing the limitations of current filtering techniques.

She is currently working on finalizing her PhD (estimated May 2024) and plans on continuing her work as a Postdoc. At the awarded talk Elisie presented a summary of all major findings from her years of working on this topic, including i) a new comprehensive water cooperation and conflict events database (1951-2019) ii) mapping and trends of conflict and cooperation, iii) how humans have affected water resources worldwide, iv) research gaps evaluation, and v) whether cooperation can help mitigate water conflict.
