Joint EGU-AGU Geodesy Webinar: The World Needs More Geodesists – Europe Perspective
We are excited to bring you the very first EGU and AGU Geodesy Division joint webinar, as part of the AGU series "The World Needs More Geodesists." This webinar will focus on the European geodesy landscape, exploring the diverse roles geodesists play both inside and outside of academia. Building on previous webinars highlighting perspectives from the U.S. and Australia, this session will explore the opportunities available in Europe and discuss strategies/ways to attract more people/students to the field.
Join us as we highlight career pathways and explore how we can promote geodesy to the next generation.
Speakers:
Tim Wright, Professor of Satellite Geodesy and Director of NERC COMET, and co-founder of SatSense;
Christian Siemes, Assistant Professor at TU Delft with previous experience at ESA and RHEA Group;
Manon Dalaison, Maître de Conférences in Geophysics at IPGP.
