Join us on the first Monday of every month to discuss how researchers can more effectively engage with policymaking, get the scoop on upcoming science for policy opportunities, and virtually mingle in a relaxed, informal environment. You’ll be met with people working at the science-policy interface as well as others who may be interested in doing so!

In this month's hangout, we will welcome Mirco Migliavacca with the presentation "Nature based solutions and forest monitoring to support EU climate neutrality", mainly in relation to carbon farming.

Mirco is a scientific project officer at the European Commission, DG-Joint Research Centre. He works at science-policy interface, in particular supporting the policy cycle with research on the carbon cycle, biodiversity and global change ecology, and the interactions between consumption and deforestation and forest degradation. Previously, he led the Biosphere-Atmosphere Interaction and Experimentation Group at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry.
