EGU mentoring workshop 2025
Mentoring: building meaningful connections in research
Mentoring is one of the most powerful ways to grow as a scientist - whether you’re sharing your experience with others or learning from those further along the path. In this interactive 60-minute workshop, we’ll explore what mentoring is (and isn’t), why it’s valuable, and how both mentors and mentees benefit from the process. We’ll look at common mentoring models, clarify roles and expectations, and discuss practical ways to get started.
Whether you’re curious about finding a mentor, considering becoming one yourself, or simply want to strengthen professional relationships within your field, this workshop will give you tools and inspiration to take the next step.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 16 October, online, from 10:00 CEST - 11:00 CEST.
Places for this FREE workshop series are limited so ensure you register your interest by the end of the day, Monday October 14.
