This workshop will last 2.5 hours and is a hands-on geoscience communication workshop series designed to empower scientists with tools and strategies to better connect with the public, policymakers, and the media. Led by Sérgio Esperancinha and Iain Stewart, the course explores foundational principles, one-way and two-way communication models, and co-creation approaches that foster trust, understanding, and collaboration. Through real-world examples, interactive exercises, and expert-led sessions, participants will learn to move beyond the “deficit model” and become facilitators of dialogue and action.
In this session, "Co-Create and Engage – An Introduction to 3-Way Communications", participants will learn how to engage communities and stakeholders in co-creating geoscience solutions through inclusive, participatory methods.
