Davide Faranda (French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) - Davide is Research Director at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). His research bridges climate dynamics, extreme weather events, and nonlinear systems theory, and he has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications. He currently serves as President of the Nonlinear Processes in Geosciences (NP) Division of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). Under his leadership, the NP division has grown significantly in community engagement, inclusivity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. He has been instrumental in shaping new initiatives and modernizing its approach to both scientific and community goals. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the EGU Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award in 2018.
