GI + PS Campfire: Investigation of Planetary Bodies: Analog Studies and Mission Concepts

Welcome to the first 2026 joint Campfire of the Geoscience Instrumentation and Data System (GI)-Planetary and Solar System Sciences (PS) divisions! 

This seminar-style event will consist of two presentations focusing on an overview on terrestrial analog studies for the investigation of other planets and ongoing mission concepts.  The event will include Q&A sessions with the audience and networking opportunities. We look forward to discussing these fascinating topics with you!

Enrico Bruschini (Research Fellow at Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica – Institute for Space Astrophysics and Planetology, INAF/IAPS) - A trip to Terrestrial Analog Sites: using the Earth to understand other Planets.

Aurélie Van den Neucker (PhD Candidate at DLR German Space Agency): Neptune Orbital Survey and TRiton Orbiter MissiOn (NOSTROMO) - A Mission Concept to Explore the Neptune-Triton System.
