Description

What happens when wind turbines break down? Repairing wind turbines can be costly and take a long time. Can aerospace engineering and computer science help reduce these costs and time? Get your students thinking about questions like these and more with this article and activity sheet. Included is a summary of a current research project and an interview with Dr Marianna Maiaru. The activity sheet includes ‘talking points’ to enable students to reflect on the research plus activities relating to engineering and wind turbines.
