EGU Outreach Committee seeking new members

20 May 2022

The Outreach Committee promotes the Earth, planetary, and space sciences and the activities of the EGU among scientists, the public, policymakers and all other interested individuals and organisations. The committee focuses on public engagement activities, communication with scientists and the media, as well as policy issues, including building links with European decision makers and making them more aware of what EGU has to offer.

The Committee seeks 3 new members to help further its programme.

Prospective candidates should be:

  • interested in a wide range of geoscience subjects that are linked to the activities of the Union (as exemplified by its different divisions)
  • strongly interested in outreach activities
  • willing and able to work in a committee, preferably with experience

Applications should include a letter explaining how the applicant could contribute to EGU outreach activities (1 page) and a CV (2 pages).

For further information about the positions, which are voluntary, please contact Martin Archer, the Chair of the Outreach Committee (outreach@egu.eu).

Candidates should send their materials to Martin Archer (outreach@egu.eu) and the EGU Executive Secretary, Philippe Courtial (executive-secretary@egu.eu), by 12 June 2022.
