EGU Outreach Committee seeks two new members

23 November 2023

The Outreach Committee promotes the Earth, planetary, and space sciences and the activities of the EGU among scientists, the public, policymakers and all other interested individuals and organisations. The committee focuses on public engagement activities, communication between scientists and students, and supporting the training and development of budding science communicators.

The Committee seeks two new members to help further its programme.

Prospective candidates should be:

  • interested in a wide range of geoscience subjects that are linked to the activities of the Union (as exemplified by its different divisions)
  • strongly interested in outreach activities
  • willing and able to work in a committee, preferably with experience

Applications should include a letter explaining how the applicant could contribute to EGU outreach activities (1 page) and a CV (2 pages).

For further information about the positions, which are voluntary, please contact Martin Archer, the Chair of the Outreach Committee (outreach@egu.eu).

Candidates should send their materials to Outreach Committee Chair, Martin Archer (outreach@egu.eu) and the EGU Media Relations Manager Gillian D’Souza (media@egu.eu), by 20 December 2023.
