The press conference programme includes presentations on new results from the ExoMars mission and latest research on plastic pollution, as well as a press conference where scientists will announce the Antarctic location they found to drill for 1.5 million-year old ice. Announcing EGU’s newest journal: Geochronology 2 April 2019 The EGU is launching a new publication at the 2019 General Assembly. Geochronology will be an open-access, two-stage journal with open review, following the model of other EGU journals, and will be published by Copernicus Publications. Read more

Former Italian Prime Minister and European Commissioner Mario Monti and Former Italian Parliamentarian Ilaria Capua at the EGU meeting 19 March 2019 The EGU will welcome Ilaria Capua and Mario Monti at the 2019 General Assembly during the high-level Science, Politics and European (dis)integration session on Wednesday 10 April.
