The poster at EGU General Assembly 2013 presented a comprehensive investigation of the plaeo glaciations of the Shaluli Shan area in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau, which provides robust reconstruction of the paleo glacial pattern of the study area and new insights to the glacial erosion pattern and hence the basal thermal regimes.

The presented poster shows first results of the representation and sensitivity of the alongshore tilt of MDT in the model as well as an analysis of the alongshore momentum balance. A preliminary interpretation based on vorticity dynamics is used to relate the alongshore tilt to the nearshore and offshore ocean circulation.
