Her research focuses on the role of aerosols for tropical cyclone (TC) development, investigating how cloud microphysical processes may scale up to influence TC dynamics. She employs the numerical weather prediction and climate model ICON to study aerosol-cloud interactions in TCs, aiming to refine our understanding of the TC activity under future cleaner aerosol conditions and contribute to more accurate future risk assessments.
