Can I be a space person? A new resource for finding and sharing careers in space science

What careers are there in the space sector and how do you find them? How do you address the lack of awareness on the diversity of space careers? And how do you develop a resource to help early career people get on the job path?

From engineer to artist to policy maker, the space sector has diversity of career paths. However, the perpetuation of misconceptions of what constitutes a space career can limit awareness and engagement with the roles that are available. Building on educational research, “I’m A Space Person” highlights the diversity of roles in the space sector, helping early career persons to find the right job for them.

In this webinar, discover how the “I’m A Space Person” project is helping you to find the right job for in the space sector and find out why such a project is needed. Presented by three of the project’s developers, this webinar will introduce the “I’m A Space Person” careers resource and how to use it, discuss the inspiration behind the project, and how “I’m A Space Person” has grown, including its collaboration with the UK Space Agency’s “Space for Everyone” campaign.

The webinar will last for one hour, with time for audience questions and answers at the end.
