Novel and inclusive approaches to policy engagement - Session 2

Training Schedule:
This workshop series will take place on 29 October, 5 and 12 November. All sessions will start at 11:00 CET.
Session 2:
This session will last 2 hours 30 minutes.
In this session, you will learn fresh and innovative perspectives on developing creative and inclusive policy; participants will be guided through experimental and alternative approaches to policy-making and build an understanding of how they impact decisions at different stages of policy development.
The sessions will be divided as follows:
- Session 1: Introduction to policy engagement: get to grips with the needs of policymakers, the traditional methods used to gather evidence to inform policy, and why scientists should get involved.
- Session 2: Experimental approaches to policy development: learning about alternative and more inclusive approaches to policymaking, and their respective effectiveness at different stages in policy development.
- Session 3: Taking your first steps in policy engagement: How to ‘get out there’ with confidence in sharing your research!
Only EGU Members can apply to participate in these workshops and attendees will be shortlisted by the EGU Outreach Committee selected by their answers to the question, ‘Why do you want to attend this workshop?’ and to ensure a diverse group of participants. Successful applicants will be emailed with further information after the deadline has passed.
