How to get the most out of online conferences

The meteoric rise in the adoption of online conferences during the COVID-19 pandemic has placed them as the dominant form for sharing scientific research, and they won’t be leaving anytime soon as organisers seek out carbon-neutral alternatives to physical meetings. However, from fewer opportunities to socialise to “Zoom fatigue”, online conferences are (like their physical cousins) replete with their own pros and cons.

This webinar addresses how researchers can get the most value from online conferences and asks three panellists with different yet keen insights on how best to approach the virtual format. The panellists will discuss the guiding vision behind online conferences and how they attempt to aid researchers; how attendees can best interact with online platforms; and how you can look after yourself as you navigate the virtual realm. Each panellist will give a short talk followed by plenty of time for questions from the audience.

Join us on Thursday 11 March at 13.00 CET to find out more.
